I want a GreenBowl, What’s the cost for owning one?
The cost is between US$180,000 and US$250,000 depending on the city and size of the unit. This cost corresponds from the construction of the unit to having your franchise ready to serve clients.
How much is the initial fee?
The initial fee is US$25,000 for the first unit and US$15,000 for additional ones.
How much is the royalty payment and how is it paid?
7% net sales (without discounts). Royalty is paid weekly and is mandatory to use the POS for us to give assistance and follow up.
How much is the marketing fee?
1.5% net sales. Will be invested in local advertising for your restaurant and will be followed up by the main company OFGB.
How much is the institutional marketing fee?
2.5% net sales, paid to OFGB.
How is the institutional marketing fee invested?
This fee is used to promote the GreenBowl concept using advertising, public relations, social media, creation of videos and more activities with the purpose of increasing awareness. Campaigns and different strategies will always have for purpose to increase awareness among a larger community that will increase your sales.
What is the GreenBowl ROI?
Return of Investment will depend on the selection of a good location, involvement of the employee in quality, service and image, local taxes laws, amount of money that was financed, efficiency in the accomplishments of the desired costs. With a good execution of all these, ROI shouldn’t pass 36 months.
¿Will I be protected from other GreenBowl locations that want to establish near mine?
GreenBowl reserves the right for choosing a location within a territory depending on the development of the community and population density of the city or zone it is being located. A store will never be located near another one that could affect sales.
Will I Receive training?
Training will be taken in the Dominican Republic in the main stores of OFGB. It is mandatory for the administrator, kitchen captain and crew leader to be present. The training will last 4 weeks approximately (60 hours) in OFGB store and 10 days in your store. They will be trained with all the necessary modules to operate a GreenBowl. The team sent for training will be evaluated and will cover expenses for their evaluations to be granted permission to operate, on the contrary, the administrator will have to look for other candidates until they achieve the required knowledge of the model of business.
How long does it take from buying the franchising right to open my franchise?
With the processes executed correctly, after signing the contract, there are approximately 180 days for the construction and development of the store.
Will someone help me with construction?
Responsibility for building your store is all yours! However, as a brand we do have the compromise to offer advice by handing different catalogs for construction, materials, and help you choose the right constructor, to guarantee the quality and requirements that the store needs to achieve.
Is it mandatory for me to have previous experience in the food/beverage industry to own a GreenBowl franchise?
Previous experience in food/beverage industry is mandatory. By having experience in this industry about how the business works, stock, employees, client management and experience in the different type of situations, you will have a great advantage. OFGB does offer a complete training program and along with the operations manual you will be able to acquire enough knowledge of the business to operate successfully your GreenBowl store.
What is included in the grant of the franchise?
When you are given a GreenBowl franchise, you will have the right of use of the brand, recipes, operational system, procedures, design of the store, marketing strategies, innovation, market studies, new developments, better processes, new systems and managing your own restaurant. Additionally, OFGB, will counsel in:
- Architectural design and handing of catalogs.
- Selection of equipment for the right functioning of the store.
- Selection of the place and negotiate terms of rental.
- Development of the image
- Pre opening assistance at store
- Corporate training for owners, unit operator, chefs and crew leaders.
- Handing of the operations manual that includes procedures, policies, and techniques for efficient management of the GreenBowl franchise.
- Assistance in social media management.
- Assistance from video cameras.
- Virtual and in person audit to verify the correct fulfillment of requirements.
